Choose a Reputable Local Roofing Contractor

7 Steps To A Roof Replacement or New Roof

We are professional courteous and will make the entire roof replacement process as smooth as possible.

The most important step is choosing a reputable local roofing contractor. Re-roofing is not a race, so take your time finding a company that meets your expectations, has an excellent reputation and has the proper credentials.

When you interview a roofing company, make sure that they listen to your needs and are forthcoming and transparent in their advice. You never want to feel pressured by a roofing contractor to buy a particular product or be left in the dark about the process, timeline, costs, and expectations.

You should get good vibes from the roofing contractor during the initial assessment of your current roof before you hire them.

Preparing Property For A Roof Replacement

Before the work can begin, you’ll need to prepare your property. While we’re always careful not to cause any damage to your property, roofing is a loud, dirty, and messy job. Make sure workers have clear access to your roof.

Suppose you plan on staying in your home while we replace your roof. In that case, we recommend that you remove all your vehicles from the property and find street parking, giving delivery trucks, roofing trucks, and worker vehicles access to your property as needed. We also recommend removing valuable/ sentimental or heavy objects from the walls due to the vibration during the roofing installation.

We’ll also be sure to hang protective tarps to cover near standing shrubs, plants, and bushes and protect your home siding.

Delivery of Materials

You’ll need to clear space for materials to be delivered since most of the driveway will be used for materials, equipment, and workspace. Make sure delivery vans can get onto your property.

The number of materials and the space they’ll take up depending on the size of your home. It’s best to store the materials with easy access to the roof and in a dry place.

Removal of Old Roof

Similarly, the old roof needs to be removed. Materials will be torn off, dumped in a container, and driven away. We are careful not to create too much of a mess, but this is a dirty job. We clean up every night and use a roll magnet to gather and loose nails or screw, and clean up any left over debris.

New Roof Installation

Finally, your new roof begins to take shape. We’ll work methodically, professionally, and with beautiful craftsmanship, making sure that your new roof will be your final roof.

Once we are done, we clean up!
